Smaardyk Center Multimedia Studio
The Smaardyk Center Multimedia Studio is located in Cunningham 205 and designed for video production projects that anyone on campus can create. Video production can be accomplished with just two people (a speaker and a technician).
The space includes modern equipment, improved lighting and sound, and a more flexible setup designed to support a wide range of projects. Whether you’re interested in recording lectures, producing promotional or instructional videos, hosting interviews or panel discussions, or giving students hands-on media experience, the studio is a valuable resource available to you.
The Communication Department currently uses the studio in multiple classes, and students in the program learn how to create video content in pre-recorded and live sessions.
The studio is open to the entire Indiana Tech community, and to support users, a lab assistant will be available on Wednesdays from 1:30 to 4 pm and by appointment on Fridays from 1:30 to 4 pm.
All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to use the room after completing a training session. Students must have a faculty or staff member present at all times that the studio is being used. Students wishing to use the studio must get a faculty or staff member to reserve the room on their behalf.
Contact Dr. Alicia Wireman to arrange a training session or to reserve the room.
