For students at most colleges and universities, the high cost of purchasing textbooks each semester is an unpleasant surprise. Indiana Tech is different. For all students in undergraduate and master’s degree programs, textbook rental is included in the cost of tuition.

Traditional undergraduate students

Traditional undergraduate students pick up their textbooks from the bookroom in Warrior Fieldhouse (find the Warrior Fieldhouse on the Campus Map) at the beginning of each semester. Based on the courses for which you’ve registered, your books will selected, bagged, and waiting for you to present your student ID at pickup.

At the end of the semester, simply return the books to the bookroom. Damaged books or books that you do not return will be added to your student account.

Adult/Online Students

If you’re an online student, or if you’re taking an evening class in Fort Wayne or at one of our regional service centers, your textbooks will either be shipped to you before the start of each session or they will be made available to you online within your Canvas course.

Shipped Textbooks

If your course utilizes a physical textbook, it will be shipped to you before the start of your session. A shipping envelope and postage paid shipping label will be included with your textbook. At the end of your session, use the envelope and label to return the book to the university. Damaged books or books that are not returned within two weeks after the class ends will be added to your student account.

Online Textbooks

Many courses at Indiana Tech are transitioning to e-books or other online material, which can be determined by reviewing your course syllabus within Canvas. If your course utilizes an online OpenStax textbook, these are available in PDF format and are linked in your Canvas course online.
