Educational Background

M.A., University of Saint Francis

B.S., Purdue University

Professional Experience

I bring a diverse background of industry experience that enriches my teaching and connects classroom learning to real-world applications. As a controller for a marketing firm, I oversaw financial operations and contributed to strategic planning. In my role as a financial analyst, I applied data-driven insights to guide decision-making, including budgeting, cost reduction strategies, and equipment amortization. My experience with both personal and corporate taxes further deepened my understanding of complex financial systems and regulatory compliance. Alongside these professional roles, I have spent years tutoring, which has strengthened my ability to clearly explain challenging concepts, adapt to different learning styles, and help students develop confidence and problem-solving skills.

Why I Teach

I teach because I believe in being a lifelong learner, and I want to inspire that same mindset in my students. Each class is not only an opportunity to share knowledge, but also to model curiosity and the joy of discovery. Teaching allows me to prepare students with critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom, equipping them to face challenges and succeed in their careers. At the heart of my teaching is a commitment to fostering growth, encouraging resilience, and helping students recognize their potential.
