Indiana Tech’s Biological Psychology Certificate explores the connection between the brain, behavior and overall health. Students gain an understanding of how the structure and function of the brain influence human thoughts, emotions, motivation, learning, memory and behavior, while examining the biological foundations of psychological processes.

Coursework introduces key concepts in biopsychology, including brain function, sensory systems, emotional and reproductive processes, cognitive functioning and the relationship between physical, physiological and psychological health. Students will also examine research and evidence-based approaches used to understand the causes and treatment of human behavior and mental health conditions.

Whether you’re interested in psychology, healthcare, human services or neuroscience, this certificate provides a strong foundation in the science of behavior and the biological systems that shape how we think, feel and interact with the world.
