Fort Wayne rage room is a generational operation

April 30, 2026

Indiana Tech is always proud to highlight alumni succeeding in their respective fields after graduation, while also showcasing the great work students are doing in their field of study at a professional level.

Both of these things are happening at one Fort Wayne business.

All the Rage opened in 2020. It is a “rage room” experience with the goal of offering stress relief for patrons in the form of, simply, making a mess. That can include (but is not limited to) breaking everyday household items like glassware, furniture and eligible electronics, or splattering paint across the walls of a dedicated room.

For safety and liability purposes, visitors are expected to sign waivers and wear protective gear and clothing during sessions.

Indiana Tech alum Jeffrey Guy has owned All the Rage since 2025. One might assume the decision to buy came from a business background, but Guy earned his bachelor’s degree in human services management in 2014 and master’s in psychology in 2022. He says he and his wife visited for a paint session, and after doing more research learned the business was for sale.

“The mental health side of things is what drew me to it at first, and then I’m just like, oh man, this is just a really cool business,” said Guy. “There’s the fun aspect where anybody can just come, have fun and let loose with their friends and their family. But then on the deeper level, there is a psychology behind it; there’s that kinetic regulation, the somatic release, and I just felt like it was a really good pairing.”

“I just thought that it aligned pretty well with what I was already doing in mental health and behavioral consulting and stuff like that,” he said.

All the Rage aims to be sustainable, recycling broken materials with a variety of local vendors, while bringing in new items by accepting community donations and building relationships with thrift stores.

But running the business is a two-person job, which is where Indiana Tech student Solomon Osborne comes in. Osborne is the operations manager of All the Rage, and will take home his bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurial studies in May. He is also Guy’s stepson.

“My role is pretty all-encompassing,” Osborne said. “I handle a lot of the customer service, some of that being customer retention, whether that’s email marketing or cold calling or answering the cold calls that we get through the rage room.”

Osborne is a student of Indiana Tech professor of marketing and management Dr. Staci Lugar Brettin. Lugar Brettin coordinated a visit to All the Rage for some of her venture lab students in late April to see a local business run by two generations of Indiana Tech experience, and blow off a little steam in the process as final project and exam season ramped up.

“In this class, particularly, I want them to work with entrepreneurs, and we were so excited to work with Jeff,” said Lugar Brettin, who praised Guy for “reinvigorating” the business. “Having all of them working on a project and seeing this in real life is really cool.”

All the Rage is operating with a growth mindset. The building currently has a second floor and basement that are not being publicly utilized. Guy views the second floor as a space for something more cerebral, offering “a lot of different sensory type of things going on–auditory, visual, journaling.” For the basement, Osborne envisions a community-oriented space that could host live music, local events and more.

While the duo crafts ideas for how to evolve All the Rage in the future, the common thread bonding their planning is what they each learned at Indiana Tech.

“I was working in human services between that gap of becoming a behavioral consultant,” said Guy. “Then for my master’s I was working with families and youth just kind of seeing the stress and the everyday things that everybody goes through, and working in that and Indiana Tech allowed me to kind of understand the psychology behind that.”

“Without Indiana Tech. I wouldn’t have gotten to this point now,” he said.

“Level of involvement and attention to detail are big things for me,” said Osborne. “In my experience being involved in student organizations and the Office of Student Engagement, trying to bring that attention to detail to the rage room, whether that’s through service, through our email marketing, all that kind of stuff is so awesome. Indiana Tech taught me that.”

All the Rage is located at 2307 Spy Run Ave. in Fort Wayne. It is open Tuesday through Saturday each week, and offers a variety of packages for visitors to choose from.
