Bio
Dr. David W. Rumsey specializes in industrial automation, embedded systems, and PCB layout. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from Purdue University and a PhD in applied mathematics from Bowling Green University. His dissertation dealt with error analysis in simulations of hyperbolic partial differential equations, which are useful for modeling traffic flow. The outcomes of these simulations can support better highway design. Additionally, Dr. Rumsey likes to use embedded systems in his hobbies. He has designed a terrarium that uses sensors to control airflow, temperature, and humidity for his plants.
