Dr. Cortney Robbins

Faculty Lead

Dr. Cortney Robbins, professor of English and humanities, is a lifelong learner who has over 20 years of experience in the classroom, most of which has been spent at Indiana Tech. Dr. Robbins holds master’s degrees in English and history, and a doctorate in education, which makes her a fitting faculty lead for an interdisciplinary degree like general studies. Observing a need for a flexible degree that would serve both transfer students with incoming college credit and learners interested in a broader education experience, Dr. Robbins developed the university’s general studies degree in 2015. Since that time, she has acted as the program lead for the degree, helping students attain the status of college graduate and live meaningful lives of significance and worth.
