Joe is active in the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), North American Society for Pediatric Exercise Medicine (NASPEM), and National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA.  He enjoys running, weight lifting, and spending time with his wife, Julie, and daughter, Adelynn.
