Student and professor work with a Phys-ed teacherField Experience Information

The teacher education program at Indiana Tech School of Education believes that the best way to train a teacher is to have them actively involved in PreK-12 classrooms. Our program accomplishes this through relationships with area school districts and organizations. Pre-candidates and candidates in our teacher licensure programs are involved in increasingly intensive and extensive clinical experiences every semester of their program, starting the first semester of their freshman year. Our field experiences are designed to help candidates understand many aspects of teaching, including professionalism, classroom management, curriculum, instruction, assessment and more.

The four key field experiences for the School of Education are divided into two categories below. If you would like more information, please contact the School of Education.
